Yazmin Castaneda Lauded as one of San Diego’s Top 40 under 40 Business Professionals

Yazmin Castaneda, a regional real estate manager for Sunrise Management, has been named one of San Diego’s Top “40 under 40” business professionals by The Daily Transcript. This annual supplement, published by San Diego’s premier daily business newspaper, spotlights rising young stars in the city’s business community. Editors and reporters considered emerging talent in law, construction, real estate and the public sector to find 40 professionals whose skills, integrity and leadership exemplify the very best the region has to offer.

A real estate professional with over 17 years of experience in large multi-family housing, commercial and military portfolios, Castaneda has a true passion for exceptional customer service and cultivating relationships and has been a tremendous asset to Sunrise Management. During her nearly 10 years at Sunrise she has risen through the ranks from community manager to assistant real estate manager to regional real estate manager, CPM candidate. In her current role, she is based in the San Diego offices, overseeing all aspects of operating, financial and marketing initiatives for a large multifamily portfolio of 13 communities throughout Southern California.

She is also responsible for leading, coaching and developing 26 team members, guiding associates through internal promotion opportunities as well as hosting an intern through IREM’s Restart Internship program. She is passionate about building relationships and cultivating a strong sense of resident and staff appreciation. Additionally, she has played a key role in business development for the Southern California region, helping to secure new 6 communities (approx. 1,000 units) in the last 8 months – also working to obtain a 93% in resident satisfaction through various reputation management initiatives.

She has earned the San Diego County Apartment Association’s Rental Manager of the Year award, Sunrise’s Community Manager of the Year award and Pinnacle Realty’s Community Director of the Year award.
